Lindley Estes is a writer, reporter and editor. She is a graduate teaching assistant at George Mason University and MFA candidate in fiction writing there. She recently served as the Fredericksburg Business Insider Editor and a reporter for the Free Lance-Star, Fredericksburg, Va’s daily newspaper. She has written for newspapers about business and higher education, local government and art. Her writing has appeared in journals including Whurk, Wig-Wag and Seven Stamps Review. She previously served as the editor-in-chief for The Bullet, the University of Mary Washington’s campus newspaper, and The Aubade, the school’s literary journal. She is the current fiction editor of Phoebe, the literary journal of George Mason University, and is a blog editor and publicist for Stillhouse Press. Lindley lives in Fredericksburg with her cat Pompey, dog Mr. Bojangles, husband Matt and her one true love: a Hermes 3000 cursive typewriter.
